Anthony J Kearney

Anthony Joseph Kearney, “Tony” sadly passed away in Christ Church Hospital, Jersey City on July 28th.  He passed on our departed, beloved sister, Robin Rose’s birthday to perhaps party with her in heaven. 

Tony was 59 years young and lived a fun life filled with a lot of travel. He always had a smile that lit up a room, was very generous, donated to various charities and would give the shirt off his back.

Tony was born in Kildare, Ireland. Graduated from Austin Peay State University, Tennessee, with a BS in Civil Engineering.  Tony had a major role in the completion of One World Trade Center, LGA airport, EWR terminal A, as well as many notorious buildings and high-rises throughout the metro area.

Tony is survived by his adoring wife, Renee Obester, his daughter, Kelsey Frances Kearney, his goofy, American Staffy pup, Louie who everyone in the Hoboken area always recognizes and loves. As well as nephews, Jonathan Tierney and wife, Sue, Nicholas Tierney and wife, Nikki, and Richard Rose.  Brother in-laws Robert Obester and wife, Melissa, and Ron Rose.

Family and friends will celebrate Tony’s life per his request to have a cocktail party in his honor, TBD soon.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the A.S.P.C.A., a toy for heartbroken Louie will be appreciated.
