Brian Claudio, 50, passed away after a courageous 23-month battle with Stage IV Lung Cancer. Though his time here was far too short, Brian faced his illness with strength, resilience, and a determination that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Brian was a devoted son, brother, nephew, and friend. He is survived by his loving mother, Denise Claudio; his brother, Anthony; and his beloved aunt, Ann Sebastiano, who held a special place in his heart and whom he cherished deeply. They will carry forward his memory with deep love and pride.
He was predeceased by his father, Antonio Claudio, as well as his cherished grandmother, Irene McTiernan; and his uncles John, Michael, Kevin, and Frank, with Kevin holding a special place in Brian’s life as both an uncle and a brother figure.
He also leaves behind his beloved cousins Janette, Krissy, Victor, Michele, Joey, and Matt, who were not only family but his childhood friends. Brian shared a special bond with his goddaughter, Alexus, and was loved deeply by all of his cousins’ children.
Brian had a passion for sports and was a devoted fan of the Giants, Mets, and Knicks, rarely missing a game and always ready to share his opinions and enthusiasm. He was also an avid fantasy football player, bringing the same level of dedication, strategy, and competitive spirit to every season, and enjoying the camaraderie and rivalry that came with it.
His loyalty extended beyond sports, he dedicated 30 years of service to ShopRite of Columbia Park, where he was known as a dependable, hardworking employee and a familiar, friendly face to coworkers and customers alike.
Above all, Brian will be remembered for his perseverance, his loyalty, and the quiet strength he showed throughout his life, especially during his illness. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
A life taken too soon, but one that will never be forgotten.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 20th, 2026, from 2pm to 6pm.
