Eileen Lonnay passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 20, 2022. She was born in Jersey City to Julia (Farrell) and George Ryan. She married William "Bill" Lonnay in 1947 and started her family.
Eileen retired from the Jersey City Housing Authority in 1993 and moved to Keyport to be near her family. She resided in Bethany Manor for 23 years then moved to the Venetian Rehab Center, South Amboy in 2020.
Eileen wanted to be remembered as a "A Loving Mother and Grandmother" and added Great-Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother to her legacy.
She enjoyed meeting up for lunch with her brother, sister and 2 cousins and especially looked forward to her Wednesday dinners with her friend and granddaughter Victoria Lonnay. At Bethany Manor she made a few close friends who have preceded her in death and is survived by her dearest friend Ann Campasano.

She also loved crossword puzzles and word finds and of course her three favorite game shows, The Price is Right, Jeopardy and The Wheel of Fortune. And she loved walking, putting more miles on her feet than some people put on their cars.
She was predeceased by her husband William "Bill" Lonnay in 1991, son William "Bubbie" Lonnay, granddaughter Dawn Anderson , grandson Michael Anderson and great granddaughter Brittany Torres, and her sisters and brothers and their respective spouses Ethel Dynes (James), Marie Mulvaney (James), George Ryan, John Ryan (Jean)) and June McCabe (Joseph).
