Elba "Abuelita" Fernandez, who was adored by all of her grandchildren, departed this world on January 10, 2022. Elba was born in Manhattan on January 16, 1950 to Cruz La Boy and Ramon Fernandez.
Her proudest moments in life were taking care of and spending time with her grandchildren when she could.
She is survived by her children Elba J. Gomez, Johnathan Santiago, and Luis Fernandez, as well as her 16 grandchildren.
Services for Elba Fernandez will take place on Sunday, January 16, from 2-5pm at Michalski Funeral Home, 463 Monmouth St., Jersey City.
