Francisco “Francis” Payumo Tolentino passed away at Overlook Medical Center, Summit NJ on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 8:30 pm while surrounded by his family. He was 61. He was born in Quezon City, Philippines.
He was a resident of Roselle Park NJ and lived in New Manila, Quezon City and Merville Park Subd, Paranaque, Philippines. He attended grade school at Don Bosco Technical School and Ateneo Grade School, high school at Ateneo High School. He was YFU exchange student in San Jose California and Bellevue, Michigan. He attended college at Northwood Institute in Michigan, Cannons Business College in Honolulu, HI and received BS in Business Administration degree at International University.
Francis, also known as “Cis”, loved to party and enjoyed his teenage years to the fullest. His parents called him “Golden Child”. He loved designer clothes and only the best things. He was a kind soul, had a good heart, was very sweet and was a generous brother and friend. He had a contagious laughter, loved to work, was a great and disciplined worker. He will be greatly missed.
He was predeceased by his parents, Pedro P. Tolentino and Dr. Gracia Payumo-Tolentino. He is survived by his sister, Dr. Maribee “Bing-Bing” P. Tolentino, brothers Pedro “Jojo” P. Tolentino and Ferdinand “Bong-Bong” P. Tolentino, sisters-in-law Therese Villasor-Tolentino and Amparo Benedicto-Tolentino, brother-in-law Alexander L. Genito, nephews Justin Villasor-Tolentino and Sgt. Raphael Tolentino-Castillo USMC, niece Brianna Benedicto Tolentino, grandchildren Cailan Tolentino and Manuela Tolentino.
Visitation will be at Michalski Funeral Home, 463 Monmouth Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 on Friday May 12, 2023, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 457 Monmouth Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 on Saturday May 13, 2023 at 10:00am. The parking lot for both the funeral home and the church is at 306 6th Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302, between Coles Street and Monmouth Street.
