Gloria Suarez Obituary

Gloria Suarez, lovingly known as the heart of her family, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in April 1942 in Aibonito, Gloria carried the warmth, strength, and vibrant spirit of Puerto Rico with her throughout her life. She later moved to Jersey City, where she settled, built her family, and created a lifetime of memories rooted in love, resilience, and togetherness.

Gloria was a woman full of life, personality, and joy. She had a joking spirit that could light up any room and a way of making people laugh even during difficult times. She loved fashion and took pride in coordinating her outfits, always carrying herself with elegance, confidence, and style. Known for her love of leopard print and accessorizing, Gloria believed getting dressed was an expression of personality and joy.

She also found happiness in dancing, cooking for the people she loved, listening to music, and spending time surrounded by family. Whether she was sharing stories, preparing a meal, laughing at the table, or simply enjoying the company of loved ones, Gloria made every moment feel meaningful. Her warmth and energy left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in life by her first husband, Victor Molina, with whom she shared her children and many cherished years. She is survived by her beloved husband, Porfirio Suarez, whose companionship and love remained an important part of her life.

Gloria was the proud and loving mother of four children: Victor Molina, Miriam Molina, Alberto Molina, and Tanya Molina. She also leaves behind grandchildren including Jessica Lewis, Brenda Freytas, Xavier Severino, Taliana Bruno, along with several other beloved grandchildren. Gloria was also blessed with great-grandchildren including Jahlinda Lewis, Talisha Lewis, Michael Lewis Jr., and many others who will continue to carry her love, traditions, and spirit forward.

Gloria’s legacy lives on through the family she nurtured, the laughter she shared, the meals she prepared with love, and the unforgettable joy she brought into the lives of others. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

We will honor Gloria with a viewing and funeral service on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Michalski Funeral Home. Entombment will immediately follow at Holy Name Cemetery.

She will be deeply missed, endlessly loved, and forever remembered.
