Iluminada Velazquez

Iluminada Velazquez, of Jersey City, departed this life on November 13th, 2022.

She was born in Puerto Rico on May 31st, 1937.

She is survived by her four children Israel Arroyo, Luis Arroyo, Aracelis Arroyo, and Milagros Ventura, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Dear Mom,

Your life was a blessing to all that knew you.  Your presence and your spirit will live on in each of us that you loved and loved you and your memory has become a treasure in our hearts that your family will cherish forever.  It will be hard to forget you Mama because you gave us so much joy and love to remember you through our lifetime.  You taught us well and we will always admire your strength and your resilience through all your struggles and the fact that you have always remained a faithful servant of the Lord no matter what the circumstances were in your life.  Rest for now Mama until we see you again in paradise as God promised.  

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17th, from 5pm to 7pm.  A funeral service will take place in the chapel on Friday, November 18th, at 10am.  Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery, Jersey City.
