Joan Miklas Obituary

Of Polish descent, Joan Miklas (nee:Jasiczek), was born in Germany and immigrated to America with her parents and brothers during World War II as refugees.  She began her career at JP Morgan Bank where she retired.  Always volunteering her time and energy over the years, she worked in school cafeterias, made bedpads for cancer patients and worked in food kitchens serving the homeless. Her faith and culture were important to her, serving on various parish councils and working with the Jersey City General Pulaski Memorial Committee, helping to organize fundraisers, dinner dances, and parade orders down 5th Avenue NYC.

The dedicated wife of the late Stanley A. Miklas and the loving mother to the late Freddy Miklas, she is survived by her brothers, their spouses, nieces, nephews and devoted children and grandchildren: son, Stanley E. Miklas husband to Marleen, and father to Ryan and Kyle; her grandchild Aidan Miklas, son of the late Freddy Miklas; her daughter Stefania Miklas-McCall, wife to Matthew McCall and mother to Michael and Zoe.
