Maria A Nieves

October 21, 1951 – November 4, 2024

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Maria A. Nieves, 73, on November 4, 2024. Maria was born on October 21, 1951, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, to her father Juan Antonio Nieves and mother Virginia Santiago. Maria spent her life dedicated to her family, community, and the values that shaped her. 

Maria was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was known for her warm heart, unwavering kindness, and deep love for family. Throughout her life, Maria cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, always putting others first and creating lasting memories. 

Maria will be deeply missed by her children Viviana Sanchez, Felipe Sanchez, Beatriz Alfonso, and David Sanchez, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Maria leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. 

 A viewing service will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 1-5 pm, and funeral mass on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 10:30 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 457 Monmouth Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302. Please join us to celebrate Marias life, all are welcome.
