Pedro “Pete” Berrios, 76, of Jersey City, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2021 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Pedro was born in Puerto Rico on November 26, 1944 and settled with his family in Jersey City in 1959.
Pedro devoted his life to his family and business, Torico Ice Cream, a community staple located in downtown Jersey City in which he founded with his loving wife Pura 53 years ago.

Pedro found joy in spending time talking and laughing with his family and friends. He enjoyed taking walks at Liberty State Park, playing dominoes, billiards, and guitar, as well as watching his grandchildren play sports and activities.
Pedro is survived by his wife Pura Berrios of 51 years; four daughters and sons-in-law, Denise Berrios Johnson and her husband Dave Johnson; Carolyn Berrios and her husband Nicolaos Gantaifis; Virginia Berrios; and Christine Berrios and her husband Adel Badran; his seven grandchildren, Steven Berrios and his wife Victoria Thomas, Richard J.
