Sophie A Telewiak

Sophie Telewiak, 68, passed away on January 24th, 2022 surrounded by her family.

In 1965 she immigrated from Poland as a young girl with her large family, settling in Jersey City before raising her own family in Irvington, New Jersey.
She is survived by her husband Jozef and children Renee and Joseph. Family came first for Sophie. A selfless and loving mother, she worked hard and sacrificed for the benefit of her children. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, hosting dinners, vacations and holidays. Always a part of large family gatherings, Sophie was a dear sister to her many siblings and admired by all her nieces and nephews. Never one to bear a grudge, she stressed the value of forgiveness in life. She was a loving Christian, faithfully attending Sunday mass, generous in charity and active in her Church.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 27th, from 3pm to 7pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, Jersey City, on Friday, January 28th, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA.
