Virginia Fabros

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and dear friend to many passed away
on December 4, 2022.
Virginia was born on January 20, 1933 in Manila, Philippines and grew up in the province of
Mendez. During her time in the Philippines, she owned a beauty salon and loved taking care of not only
her customers but family and friends in her salon. In 1984, she came to Guam first with her husband,
Jose Fabros, and eventually went to the US and spent most of her time in Jersey City, NJ. She devoted
her time working at Harborview Healthcare Center. During her 30+ years there, she wore multiple hats
in assisting the patients from the kitchen to aiding the patients. Her love for people is reflected not only
in her work but the way she loved her family. After retirement, she spent most of her time splitting time
with her daughters and sons and enjoyed the time she would spend with her grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. She loved the parties and family get-togethers and always made sure everyone was
invited. Along with spending time family, Virginia was a foodie and loved shopping.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Jose Fabros and daughter Cristy Fabros. She is
survived by daughters Vicky Sarmiento and Brenda Tolentino, sons Rene Fabros and James Fabros, 12
grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
Viewing services will be held on Michalski Funeral Home located in Jersey City, NJ 07302 on the
following days: Friday, December 9, 2022 4pm-8pm / Saturday, December 10, 2022 2pm-6pm / Sunday,
December 11 2pm-6pm
Funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at St Anthony’s Church located in
Jersey City, NJ.
Lastly, the family would like to thank all of the families, friends, staff and all those involved in
helping us put our loving Virginia peacefully in rest.
