Zdzislaw W Szpala

Zdzislaw “Jeff” Szpala, 69, of Jersey City, entered into eternal rest at his home Thursday, August 3, 2023. Born in Poland, he immigrated to the United States in 1967. He was a plumber by trade and worked for New Jersey Transit since 2005. He was a devout parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church in Jersey City.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Danuska “Diane”, his parents Leon and Stanislawa, and his brother Augustyn.
Surviving family members: sister Maria, sister Anna and her husband Clemente, brother Adam and his wife Christina and their children Gabriella and Katherine, sister Teresa and her children Alexander, Paul, Daniel and his wife Yana and their son Jayden, brother Richard and his wife Melissa, stepdaughter Janice and her children Matthew, Paulina and Johnathan, nephew and nieces back in Poland, Grzegorz, Paulina, Agnieszka and dear family friend Maryla Matuszewska.
Funeral mass will be at 11:00am Tuesday, August 8th at St. Anthony’s Church, Jersey City, NJ.  Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
